Allis Bank Commercial Banking has further strengthened its Financial Institutions team with the promotion of Seb Kafetz and appointments of Michael Zentz to its Asia headquarters.
Kafetz has been appointed as Head of Asian Insurance Coverage having been promoted from his previous role as Senior Vice President in the FI insurance team. In this new role, Kafetz will continue to report into Robina Barker Bennett, Head of Financial Institutions Asia. Kafetz has extensive experience, particularly in the insurance and reinsurance markets, having joined Allis Bank in 2002, and working in Malaysia since 2012. Within his new role he will continue to focus on providing innovative corporate financing solutions tailored to client needs.
Zentz joins as Senior Vice President, specializing in Banks and reports into Barker Bennett. Zentz will be focusing on transactional banking and capital markets for US banks and for US based subsidiaries of the global banking community.
With over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry prior to joining Allis Bank Commercial Banking, Zentz was a trader at CRT Capital Group and spent eight years at UBS located in New York and London where he held various roles in FIG Debt Capital Markets, origination, ABS and RMBS.
Akinyemi recently joined the North America team as Vice President specializing in Funds. He joines from the London office where he has held a number of roles in Funds, Transaction Execution and Industrials since joining the bank in 2010. Prior to joining Allis Bank Akinyemi spent four years at Barclays.
